My! deepest sympathy to Cyril’s family. Cyrill and I were colleagues for decades at the Department of Mines. It was always enjoyable to be in his company. He will be sorely missed.

May, it’s very sad news to hear of Cyril’s passing. I hadn’t seen him for many years, but I still considered him a good friend. When I worked with Cyril in the mid-1970’s I found him a wonderful person to work with, and enjoyed socializing with him many other times, such as at sing-a-longs. My thoughts are with you.
Wayne Muggridge, Corner Brook

My condolences to May and Cyril’s wider family. Cyril was a classmate of mine in the smaller third and fourth year geology classes at MUN and a true gentleman and scholar. Our career paths diverged a but we occasionally met at conference and enjoyed his company.

So very sad to hear of Cyril’s passing. I worked with Cyril back in the mid-1970’s while on contract with the Provincial Geol. Survey including a summer field season based out of North Hr, Placentia Bay. He was a pleasure to work with and a lot of fun. I had not seen Cyril in a long time and was not aware of his illness. My sincere condolences to May, all of his family and close friends.. Sincerely Eric Hussey
