He will certainly be missed by all who knew him. He was a gentleman and customers at the Gaze Seed Company thought the world of him especially of his knowledge of tropical fish which was a very popular item at the company.

Cathy, Tim, Greg and Allyson:
I simply don’t have the words I need to convey how devastated I am to hear of Danny’s untimely passing. Danny and I have been friends for over forty years, and during that time I have only known him to be an incredibly hardworking, caring and loyal friend. We have laughed together, shed years together, revelled in each other’s successes, and spent numerous occasions reminiscing late into the night /early morning with drinks in hand just celebrating life. To think that I will never have another opportunity to do so saddens me to the core. I want you all to know your overwhelming loss is shared by all of us who were blessed to have Danny in our lives. May God help you through this crushing heartbreak and use your memories of happy times together to move you through the difficult days ahead.
Rest in peace my special friend. You will be remembered, always.

Danny’s kind, gentle and loving soul will be greatly missed by those of us who were lucky enough to have have known him. Kent and I treasure the time and experiences we will have shared with Cathy and Danny over the years. My mother passed away when she was only 57 years of age and I was closer in age to Tim, Greg, and Allyson. A friend gave me a card with a poem that I found very comforting. Danny’s passing once again brings it to mind and I share it here in the hope that it also brings you comfort when you think of Danny.

I DID NOT DIE:
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow;
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain;
I am the gentle autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush;
I am the swift uplifting rush.
Of quiet birds in circled flight;
I am the soft star than shines at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there; I did not die.

Danny was such a bright light many days as a grad student at the OSC! I’ll remember the twinkle in his eye and how he made me smile. He was such a help and one of those people you won’t forget.

Cathy, it is with shocked and heavy hearts, myself and Ken are sending our deepest condolences, to you and your families at this sad time.

Our many conversations around our gardens, snow clearing driveways , or sitting and spending time together, will be our precious memories, to tuck away in a safe place.

Danny was always there to help in any way he could, a down to earth wonderful caring person. The best neighbour you could be lucky enough to meet up with. For us , we were blessed, he was our neighbour , for all these years. There are no words, we can say , to let you know how we will forever miss Danny.

Our thought and prayers are with you Cathy, may all the beautiful memories you made together, help comfort you in the days ahead, and God Bless You and keep you strong.

Thinking of you, everyday, Hugs!
