What a sad day to know Don Jarvis has passed. He was the neighbourhood treasure of Queen’s Road. His craft as a plasterer was beyond compare. He had an open door to our mother’s home (and many others on the street) and we always knew he would drop in on her as he passed the door. He was always welcome, always had a smile, and always had a joke to share. Thanks to his kindness Mom was able to stay in her home longer than she would have if he had not been there and we are eternally grateful to him for that. Rest in peace dear friend.

Such a wonderful friend and neighbor from Queens Road Took such wonderful care of our Mom after Dad passed away.Take care of each other. He will keep them laughing in heaven with all his jokes.

To Krista and the Jarvis Family – So sorry to hear of the passing of your dad. He was one of the first people I met when I moved to St. John’s and we always had a great chat when we would meet. He was always telling me the latest about his family and was so proud of all of you and the grandchildren. Of course, he always had a joke to tell me too. I hope the wonderful memories that you have of your dad will help to comfort you in the days ahead. God Bless.

Deepest condolences on the passing of your dad. Mr. Jarvis was a great neighbor who will be greatly missed. He was a great joke teller. RIP
