Obituary

Dr. Douglas Alfred Torraville passed away peacefully at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on October 23rd, 2018, after a brief illness.

He touched many lives in his 63 years and will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and colleagues.

Leaving to mourn; his three children, Margaret, Patrick, and Aidan; his brother, Rit. Rev. David Torraville; his father, Rev. Canon Arnold Torraville.  Predeceased by his mother Nita Marie Torraville (nee Mesher).  

Visitation will be at St. Martin’s Anglican Church in Gander, NL, on Saturday, October 27th, 2018 from 11:30am-1:30pm.  Funeral to be held at St. Martin’s Anglican Church at 2pm, Saturday, October 27th, 2018.  The internment will follow the funeral and take place at St. Aidens Anglican Cemetery in Port Blandford, NL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Canadian Diabetes Association or Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).

Maggie, Paddy and Aiden I am so sorry to hear of your father’s passing. he was a great neighbour of ours on Osbourne street in St. John’s. i often remember when he and my husband Dave built a fence in the pouring rain. it was comical. take care Anne Sheppard ( Jonathan, Harley and Mitch)
