Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Pleasant View Towers at the age of 95 on November 10, 2020.  Predeceased by her parents Merril and Ellen Brown, husband Albert Kendall, daughter Ellen Kendall, siblings Mary (Herb Dyke), Sarah (Derm Greenslade), Alice (John Nixon) and Nelson Brown (Ruby), John Brown (Joyce), and Joyce (Wilson Rodway).  Left with fond and loving memories children Thomas (Shirley) and David, grandchildren Thomas TJ (Lindsay Watson), Vaughan (Nicole Corcoran) and Ian; great-grandchildren Kiersten, Brooklyn, Hannah and Drew; brothers Frank (Barbara), Albert (Eugenia) and a large circle of nieces, nephews and cousins in the Brown and Kendall families.

The family would like to extend their gratitude for the exceptional care provided to Edith during her time at Pleasant View Towers, particularly the care teams of 2NE and 2SE.

Following Edith’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  The family will receive visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday, November 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Edith will be laid to rest with her beloved husband Albert at Kenmount Road Anglican Cemetery on Friday, November 13 at 1 p.m.  donations in Edith’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of one’s choice.

Sorry to hear of Edith’s passing..

I am from a resettled community, Tack’s Beach, Placentia Bay. I think Edith was also from that community., although the obituary did not say so.
I often heard of Merril Brown.

I also heard that Edith was a school teacher.
