Obituary
Eric Joseph Edwards, age 85, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 22, 2018. He was born in Lawn, Newfoundland, and was the son of the late Archibald and Mildred (Conners) Edwards. He is remembered by his loving wife of 63 years Lenora (Brockerville), his seven children – Judi, Roma, Rick (Cheryl), Bev Welch (Mark), Mike/Boss (Mary), Nittie Balderson (Larry), Stevie (Amy), and Heather Edwards, and his fourteen grandchildren, Becky (Ron), Philip (Brittany), Zachary (Makenzie), Erica, Jonathan, Nicole, Hailey, Julie, Brandon, Emilee, Kenzie, Norah, Delaney and Austin. He is survived by his three brothers, Arch, Patrick (Carm), and Arnold (Fredia), and his six sisters, Eileen Freake (Garland), Alma Pike, Norma Strang (Walter), Marg Duever (Hans), Mary Kardos (Ron), and Millie Grant. He is also predeceased by his brother Richard (Gladys) and his sister Olive Garwell (Dennis). He will be missed by many special friends and family. A Memorial Service will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Saturday, March 31st at 2:00pm.

So very sorry to hear of Erics passIing I had only known Eric for a short time but we became good friends with our chats while watching trout running the falls in the brook . He was a true gentleman and friend who will be missed.
So sorry to hear about Mr. Eric’s passing, he was such a fine gentleman in every way. How he enjoyed taking his walker and visit his friends at the end of Little a Powers Pond Road to see the trout going up the brook, and having our chat about everything under the sun.
You will be missed my friend, RIP.

Aunt Lenora and Family. We were so sad to learn of Uncle Eric’s passing. I spent some great times with him when I was a youth growing up in Marystown and he was trucking freight to the Burin Peninsula, and he would let me tag along occasionally. I remember him as a strong, caring and kind imdividual. Please accept our heartfelt condolences and cherish your great memories of a fine man. Take care.

Though i didn’t know Mr Edwards personally, I know and love many of his children. I also know of his love for his Savior. What a rich heritage to pass down to all who come behind him. Uncle Eric. Uncle “Teddy Bear”. Me Fadder. Sigh. He was an amazing man! His smile, his love, his hugs, his strength, his gentleness, his hospitality, his care will not be forgotten. I feel so blessed to have known him! Heaven just got sweeter!

So sorry to hear of Mr. Edwards passing. I have many fond memories of sleepovers, and playing in the yard. Oh, and the excitement of Mr. Edwards watching the hockey games on TV!! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

So sorry to hear of “Pop’s” passing. Spent some time with him helping delivering pianos a few years ago and was in awe of his work ethic and physical strength. He will be missed. Condolences to the family..

We have so many fond memories of visiting him and Lenora while we were in Newfoundland and sipping on a cup of hot tea and sharing our blessings. How thankful we are to know we will be with Eric again when we reach heaven. This has been made possible because of Gods salvation for all those who have taken Jesus Christ as their Savior.
