Ernest Arthur Deering

Passed peacefully away on Monday, July 11th, 2016 in the presence of his family, at the Health Sciences Centre, Ernest Deering of Paradise, aged 84 years. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Elizabeth Deering, and a number of siblings and relatives. Leaving to mourn his wife of 59 years, Effie. Left with a lifetime of fond and loving memories are his children David (Linda) and Glenys Moran (Mitchell); grandchildren Mark (Jessica) Deering, Joshua Deering, Leslie and Jillian Moran; great-grandson Liam Deering; brother Gilbert (Pauline-deceased); sisters Elsie Reid(Crosbie-deceased), Florence Morgan (George-deceased), and Violet King (Simeon-deceased); brothers-in-law Richard Gosse (Carrie), Charlie Gosse (Shirley), Howard Gosse (Maud), Reginald Gosse, Elmer Gosse (Margaret), Greg Gosse (Roslyn), and Victor Tucker (Loretta-deceased); sisters-in-law Joan Parsons (Andrew-deceased), Pearl Dunphy (Ross-deceased), Joyce Gosse, and Gail Osmond (Glenn); and a large number of nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Dr. Michael Paul and the nurses on 4 South A of the Health Sciences Centre for their compassion and kindness during this most difficult time. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday, July 12th,2016 from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and Wednesday, July 13th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The funeral will take place at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 13th,2016 from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at the Non-Denominational Cemetery, Paradise. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
