Obituary

Passed peacefully away in the presence of her family, at Health Science Complex on Monday April 30, 2018.

Predeceased by her husband, Leroy Percy; parents, Walter and Ethel Dawe; and brother John Dawe.

Evelyn was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She leaves with fond and loving memories her children, Karen (Francis) Ryan, Linda (Dave) Leonard, Donna (Chris) Power, John (Louise) and Renee (Ken) Beanlands; grandchildren, Tara Ryan, Alison Percy and Megan Percy; step- grandchildren, Christine and Kim Power;  step-great-grandchildren, Riley and Kera Griffin; her Club Crowd of 64 years and a large circle of other relatives and friends.

Special thank you to the Health Science’s emergency and 4 South B staff for the compassion and comfort they showed our mother.

Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, St. John’s on Wednesday and Thursday, May 2nd and 3rd, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Carnell Memorial Chapel, Freshwater Road on  Friday May 4th at  2 pm  with interment to follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Evelyn’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Sorry to hear of Evelyn’s passing. I grew up living close to her on Forest Road. She was a very wonderful person.

Sorry to learn of your mother’s death. My sincere condolences to your family.

I was so very sorry when I learned that my dear friend had passed away. Sorry also that I cannot be there with Evelyn’s family and fellow friends to offer my petsonal condolencrs. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Our fond memories of times spent with Evelyn will be a comfort in the days to come.

So sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. We have many fond memories of your mom’s hearty laugh and sense of humor. Those ladies brought such joy to each other. We drove Mrs. Percy home many time from her card club. May she rest in peace..

So very sorry to learn of Evelyn’s death. I certainly enjoyed her at BSC gatherings and chatting with her at bridge. For sure you had a laugh about something when chatting with her. A lovely lady. Treasure all the memories.

We have good memories of Evelyn and Uncle Roy visiting us in Victoria with you all in the hardtop.
