Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear father, Frederick Churchill, of Portugal Cove. Frederick passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from his family home at the age of 97 years.
Predeceased by his wife Sadie in 2015, grandson Cody in 2018, his parents Alfred and Fanny Jane Churchill, his brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Leaving to mourn his caring and loving family, daughter Debbie Francis (Noel Tucker); 2 sons Gary (Lola) and Clyde (Elizabeth); grandchildren Wendy Churchill (Kevin), Michael Churchill and Christian Francis (Brooklyn Gibbons); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A special thanks goes out to all the people who have called with well wishes during these difficult times.
We would like to thank the home palliative team for their support during this time, and to Dr. Peter Noel (retired) for his many years of care.
No flowers by request, and donations may be made to the Memorial United Church of Portugal Cove, or to a charity of one’s choice.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be a private family service only.

Fred was the sweetest, mild mannered person anyone could ever meet. We loved having chats with him. He was a very knowledgeable and witty man.

He had a smile for me when I was young and went in to the “Henry” for eggs every Saturday. I am sure the old gang and Sadie were waiting for him.
