Gordon Michael Warford

Obituary

We little knew that morning

That God would call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

But you did not go alone.

For part of us went with you

The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories,

Your love is still our guide

And though we cannot see you,
You are always by our side

Our family chain is broken,

And nothing seems the same,

But as God calls us one by one,

The chain will link again.

To: Ann Marie and Gordon’s extended family: We are sorry for your intense loss. We have known Gordon since his leadership roles with Lions Clubs International. We saw his ability as he moved through leadership roles in his Club, Goulds Leo Club and Zone 8. We proudly watched as he progressed to District Cabinet leadership, and into his position as 1st Vice District Governor. Like so many other Lions, we were so sad when he became ill and could no longer perform the roles which he so enjoyed and to which he was so well suited. His intellect, talents, abilities and decorum made him stand out among leaders. We are sorry that his illness finally conquered his body. But we know that his spirit lives on. May God give you strength and hope and may you be blessed with love and happy memories.
