Obituary

Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, surrounded by his family, on January 12th, 2018 in his 90th year. Predeceased by his parents, William and Eliza; his sisters, Stella Hamlyn and Vera Spurrell. Leaving to mourn, with many happy memories, are his wife Catherine (Hall); his children: Linda (Bruce), Robert (Linda), Carl, and Pamela (Paddy); his sister Maureen; his grandchildren: Paul, Crystal, Rodney, Stephanie, Marcus, Elyse, and Tiffany; his much loved and adored great-grandchildren: Matthew, Jaxson, Carlie, Robyn and Addison. He and Catherine raised their family on Bennett’s Road, St. Phillips for 64 years, where Gordon was born and raised. Special thanks also to the wonderful staff of 4-South A of the Health Sciences Center for their dedicated care. Gordon was a wonderful husband, father, and Pop. He leaves behind beautiful memories of laughter, kindness, and love. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, January 13th, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday January 14th and from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Monday January 15th. Funeral service to take place on Monday January 15th, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Philip’s Anglican Church. Interment to follow in St. Philip’s Anglican Cemetery.
