to Dottie & all Harold’s family & friends. What a wonderful human being Harold was. I suppose the lyrics to the song my heart compelled me to compose says my feelings best…
For Our Friend Harold (Harold Powers) (11’14’17)
We knew a man
– a truly wonderful man.
We’d rather not say goodbye.
When you & Dottie walked in,
it seemed we could begin.
You were a special part of those times. C|G|C|”|

Times when we sang & played
songs from another age,
& you could always sing for us a gem,
by Hank Snow or others,
and a lot of us pondered,
“Wish I had a memory like him.”

Wish I had a memory like you.
I’m not sure any of us do,
but we will remember you fondly & well.
In heaven you will be,
to help the angels memory.
If they forget words, you will help.

(inst verse)

Harold, we bid you adieu.
Without a doubt we’ll miss you.
You helped make our circle complete.
But we’ll do our best,
for you dear old friend,
& in Heaven may we once again meet.

(1st verse)
