So sorry to hear about this wonderful man passing away. I have only met him at the bakery a couple times but he was so kind. Owner of an amazing bakery

We are indeed shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of Haukur. He was a kind beautiful person, so warm and friendly with an infectious smile We looked forward to our visits to the bakery and he always went for the raisin bread as soon as we entered. He will always be remembered/ May God bless you all at this sad time.

We are deeply sorry for your loss. Your husband had a kind and generous spirit. We visited the bakery weekly and would always be greeted with a smile and hello from him. Sometimes we would ask him the details of how the goods were prepared and he was only to happy to tell us.

Dearest all,
I am in shock and disbelief. He always greeted me with a smile, and I was always so grateful for him providing st john’s with his baked goods, including the Norwegian treats that made me feel closer to home. I am so incredible sorry for your loss and hope you find the strength to lean on each other. I surely will miss seeing him there. Take the best of care. ❤️
A Norwegian friend in NL.

Adal and Family,
We are deeply sorry for you, your family, and for all Hauk’s friends in his sudden passing from us. We were enjoying getting to know him at the bakery and we appreciated his welcome and the delicious results of all his labours. Please accept our sincere condolences.

So sorry to hear this news . He was a wonderful man and always so full of life always made me smile when I seen him come into the daycare . He always had a neat trick to show the kids with the play dough , he was famous for his homemade pretzel .. he would make it for the kids within a few minutes . I even commented “one day and said wow that was quick” his response would be of course it is I been working at it my whole life .. I reply with ” your good at what you do that’s for sure he would then smile and say to me come to the bakery and try some things I make . I will always hold these memories close , and I just want to send all my condolences to all of the family & friends at this difficult time . Take care .

Please accept our sincere condolences. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Haukur brought a little taste of my native Norway to me when Volcano bakery opened. I actually celebrated with a little dance at my first visit when I saw that he made my grandfathers favourite pastry. I whish I had known him better, but I know him well enough to know the world was a better place with him in it. He will also be missed by my two daughters who could not let a day pass without asking to go to the bakery. Rest in peace.

I want to say how Sorry i am about your loss i cant get you and you family out of my mine since i got the call
