Passed peacefully away on Monday, April 30th, 2018 at Kenny’s Pond Retirement Home, Joan Elizabeth White, in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband Jack, brother James Shears, sister Mary Loveys and son-in-law Mac Campbell. Leaving to mourn her loving children: Jennifer Murphy (David), Edwina Campbell, Bliss White (Arelene), and Ruth Frizzell (Anthony); loving grandchildren Selena Coles (Barney), Robert Jones (Allyson), Malcolm Campbell (Cathy), Elizabeth Campbell (Robbie), Patrick Campbell (Bill), Jennifer Campbell (Julian), Sarah White and Simon and Oliver Frizzell; great grandchildren: Megan, Caitlin and Summer Jane Coles, Valletta Jones, Sydney Campbell and Casey and Miller Chisolm; sisters: Ella Penney (Frank), Blanche Shears and Pauline Payne; brothers: Floyd Shears (Olga), Tom Shears (Betty), Ben Shears (Georgina) and Johnny Shears (Marie); also many nieces and nephews. Grateful thanks to the outstanding staff of Kenny’s Pond Retirement Home for the loving care and support consistently shown to our “Mom” over the years. Also appreciative thanks to doctors Callahan and O’Shea for Joan’s medical care before and during her time at Kenny’s Pond. Cremation has taken place. A service of remembrance will take place at the Carnell Memorial Chapel, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday, May 7th, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment to follow in Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.
