We are happy and thankful for the wonderful memories we shared with Aunt Joan. I, Jim, had many interesting days growing up at Virginia Water with Aunt Joan, some days more interesting than others. Our children got to know Joan when we visited her many times in Nova Scotia as she welcomed us with open arms and made us all feel welcome. I brought Jeff to visit Aunt Joan this November and he was thrilled to see her again.
Due to a work commitment that Jim has, we regretfully are not able to join and support you in person in St. John’s on Thursday, but our thoughts will be there with all of you.

We will truly miss her and cherish our memories.

Dear Tim, please accept our deepest condolences on the passing of your mother. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time.

Dear Members of Mrs. Parker’s Family, On behalf of the Sisters of Mercy, we extend our deepest sympathy to you on the death of your mother. Mrs. Parker has been a partner in Mercy with us since 1967 when she led in the formation of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital Auxiliary which remains today a vital part of the Hospital’s community of compassion and care. We celebrated the Auxiliary’s 25th anniversary in her home. She joined us at Government House when we celebrated the 50th anniversary and was joyfully welcomed and commended by His Honour Frank Fagan. We are deeply grateful that this generous, compassionate and wise woman shared our Mercy journey in healing. St. Clare’s is a better hospital because she chose to be part of the community there. The Sisters of Mercy are better ministers in healing because she walked with us. May the memory of her rich legacy be a source of comfort for you in your sadness. May Mrs. Parker rest now in God’s love and peace for all eternity. Sister Elizabeth Davis for the Sisters of Mercy
