TO the Andrews Family – so sorry to hear of John’s passing. i have lots of fond memories of Johns friendship with Pat, his great sense of humour, musical ability and love for his family. He was a proud Dad.
My sincere condolences to Rob, Chris and Jonathan.

I was very sorry to hear of John’s passing. He and my Dad were great friends, I have great memories of spending time with the Andrews family, including during his days as the “Moss Boss” in Happy Valley-Goose Bay and visits during summer holidays in St. John’s and Lake Paul. Sincere condolences to Rob, Chris and Jonathan.

To the Andrews Family!
I had been a friend of John’s for quite some time but had not seen him a lot in later years, since we both have our connection to Port de Grave we had many a fine chat about the place and its people. Now as Chair of the Port de Grave Peninsula Heritage Society, we intend at some point in the future to recognize the Andrews Family for its contribution to the Peninsula.
Cherish your memories!

To the Family:
My condolences to all.
John, my second cousin, one of a kind, had a tremendous sense of humor and a terrific story teller! We saw each other infrequently and when we did it was memorable. Tremendous friend of my Father , Max. Visited him often and for that I am forever grateful. He will be missed, Blessings to you all!

Dear Robbie, Chris, and Jonathan,
Sincere sympathy on the loss of your Dad. John was a unique person. His sharp witt, keen observations, and of course his musical talent (who can forget the “laughing song” ) made being in his company memorable. I last spoke to him about a month ago. He was in good spirits and eager to get going with life.
I will miss him and will listen to his CD tonight.
May you all find comfort in your memories of him and know that he loved you very much.
Rest in peace, John.

I am so shocked and sorry to hear of John’s passing. He was a dear friend who I talked to every week and when we could, we got together. I will miss our many long talks. Know that he loved all of his family with all his heart but missed you all and had just about convinced himself to move to NS so he could be closer. If his health was better I’m sure he would have. Love to you all.

Family of John
Truly a ” character ” in the finest sense of the word
John had a zest for life -and in his career he took on many challenges – he dared to venture where many of his contemporaries would not .
On all occasions when we met I was glad to have done so .
May his eternal rest be in peace.
Sincere condolences to all to whom he was endeared .
