Obituary
Passed away suddenly at home, on Saturday, July 22 , 2017, aged 50 years. Predeceased by parents John and Pearl Hayes.
Leaving to mourn his son Alexander Dawe; loving brothers, Jim and Barry and sister, Michelle (Glen Miller), special friends, Jennifer Dawe and Cathy Power and a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation has taken place.
Funeral service will be held at Carnell Memorial Chapel, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday, July 27 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.

Jimmy, Barry, Michelle and Family: I am deeply shocked and saddened to hear the news of Johnny’s sudden passing. Sending heartfelt condolences to you and family. I have fond memories of Johnny from our days hanging around at Holiday Lanes and Stanley’s Pub. Johnny, at one time, was one of the best bowlers around. I’ll always remember his pleasant manner and friendly smile. May he rest in peace….

Johnny you were the best my son. Your smile and laugh lit up a room. You got me my job at the restaurant and we spent the next 10 years together. I’m glad we were roomies and I’m sorry about all the times I made you dig it out or threw it clear over your head at first base. I love you buddy and I’m delighted to call you my friend. I’d love to call you one more time and you’d say hello and I’d say wadda ya at b’y and you’d say havin a BBQ!!! Aha! See ya on the other side Johnny Hayes you beautiful beautiful man!!!
I grew up with Johnny in Mount Pearl in the mid/late 70’s….we were best friends & just reconnected here on facebook about 6 months ago…I’m heading home for a few weeks Remembrance Day time & hoped to get together for a coffee or beer. Rest in peace Bud. 🙁
