We are so saddened to hear of Kim’s passing. Kim taught two of our children at St. Andrew’s Elementary. Our youngest son who is now in grade 5 was hoping to get Kim for a teacher based on listening to his two older siblings talk about the great artistic adventures Kim would take her students on. Kim was a talented and dedicated teacher and we feel very blessed that our children were her students.
With our deepest sympathy,

To Rick, Stan and Liz:

My heart is aching for you all. I had the pleasure of having Ms. Cole as a teacher in grades 4 and 5 at St. Andrew’s Elementary. The way she brought joy to the classroom and inspired students to follow their dreams will always be remembered. We shared a strong student-teacher relationship as we bonded over the fact that we were both huge fans of Madonna. I still have Ms. Cole’s ticket stub from the concert that she attended in Montreal – in return, I gave her my key chain from a later concert while she was in the hospital. It is something that I will treasure forever. Ms. Cole taught me how to open up my heart and express myself; she is that Ray Of Light that will be loved eternally.

I pray that you all find peace and solace during this difficult time.

I was saddened to hear about Kim’s passing. She was a free, gentle spirit. A kind and compassionate person and a dedicated professional.

I interned with Kim at St. Andrew’s in 2007. I have fond memories of Kim- she showed me much kindness during the time I spent with her in her classroom. Kim was both a mentor and a friend to me as I navigated through those early days of teaching. I have always said I felt lucky to have interned with Kim- I learned so much from her. To Rick, Mr. & Mrs. Cole, Jeff and Family. Please accept my heartfelt condolences of Kim’s passing; I am completely heartbroken that a great soul has departed. I have shed many tears reminiscing these past few days over pictures of the wonderful friendship we shared. Most of my days and nights during elementary & high school where spent on Junction Road & Lind Avenue during my youth, it became my second home. Kim gave me many treasures growing up, her laughter, her kindness, her love, and most importantly her friendship. Kim was my best friend. I was blessed to stand beside her as her maid-of- honor has she exchanged her vows to the love of her life. Rick, your love was a story book romance that extended over 34 years. Your type of love doesn’t go away, Kim will be walking beside you every day; unseen, unheard, but always near, still loving you, still loving us. Her beautiful spirit and colorful personality influenced everyone she touched, I know because she influenced me to be the person I’ve become, and I am forever grateful for that gift. I know right now that words, however kind, can’t mend your heartache, but those who care for you share your grief and wish you, Stan and Liz, Jeff and family comfort and courage to face the coming days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your heart. Rest in peace my beautiful friend…. God bless.

I am so sorry to hear of Kim’s passing. I taught with her early in both our careers at Southwest Arm Academy. She was so full of life, exuberant and happy. She has left her mark on myself and on everyone who knew her. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you at this most difficult time. You all now have another guardian angel as she surely resides with the angels.

Sorry to hear of your loss….deepest condolences..

Dear Stan, Liz, Jeff, and Rick… Our hearts are filled with unspeakable sadness at the news of Kim’s death, but also full of wonderful happy memories of the times we all shared together on Junction Road in Grand Falls. Kim will always be freeze-framed in our memory as the sweet, lively young girl who could charm the birds out of the trees! Though we lost direct touch with her as she went on to be a multi-talented teacher and artist, we were always proud to hear of her many accomplishments, and her courageous approach to the many health challenges she faced. We are sending our love and sincere and heartfelt condolences at this difficult time. Liz and Mun.

Just a little note, to indicate the quality of this person. Our paths only crossed, for a short couple of years at St. Andrew’s. I was struggling with health issues, and I now realize that she was too. Kim knew that I had an interest in rocks and gems. She somehow found a piece of amethyst the size of a small dog, and delivered it, right to my classroom door. A gem delivering a gem, how about that? Rest peacefully, bright soul.

I am so saddened to hear of Kim’s passing. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Rick and the Cole family,

Sean and I are deeply saddened to hear of Kim’s passing. It’s difficult to grasp how this can be real as our memories of Kim are filled with lots of laughter and her exuberance for life. It’s hard to believe that it was over 20 years ago that Kim, Sean and I shared an apartment in university. We shared lots of good times and more than one can of Diet Coke-Kim’s favorite at the time 🙂 Kim had such a positive outlook on life and always thought the best of everyone. She was so proud of Rick and all of his curling accomplishments back then. Although we lost touch over the years, I have seen and heard so many wonderful examples of her beautiful artistic creations and know she loved what she was doing. She will certainly be missed. We are keeping you all in our prayers and be be assured that she will not be forgotten. God Bless.

So sorry to hear this. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Hold on to the wonderful memories to get you through this difficult time. My God bless.

Rick, Stan, Liz, Jeff and family. Don and I are so very sorry for your loss. Not having seen Kim for such a long time I was surprised and very saddened by her passing. My memories of Kim were primarily as a young student of mine and she has always held a special place in my heart. She possessed a wonderfully kind and generous spirit and was, most especially, a loving person. Her values were in place at an early age. Even though I didn’t know her as a teacher I feel certain she left a positive and lasting impression on the lives of those she knew and taught. Please know that Don and I will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers as you move through the difficult days ahead. We are also certain that your memories of Kim will remain close to your hearts as you celebrate her life and her legacy. Blessings…. Gwen

Stan, Liz and Jeff,

Stan and Liz,
It is with the deepest of sorrow that we send you condolences on the passing of your beautiful daughter, Kim. Through Mildred we have been kept aware of your untenable situation. It truly is a tragedy when parents have to lose a child, regardless of age. We realize that no words of ours can in any way lighten your load of grief, but we do want you to know that you are in our thoughts and will continue to be in our prayers. You have been exceptional parents, giving of yourselves unselfishly to be with Kim over the past several months. Regretfully we are away and unable to attend the wake and funeral, but we will be with you in spirit. Our love to all family members. God bless you.

Rick, Liz, Stan and Jeff,

There are no words at this time that can ease your pain. Kim was a blessing to all who knew her. She was a friend to everyone and her zest for life was unmatched. Take comfort in your memories at this time. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My condolences to the family I don’t believe i met any of the family before. I met Kim through another friend who was close to her. And what I remember about Kim, is that she had a big heart and a great sense of humor May she rest in peace now.

Rick and the Cole Family,

I have not been able to stop thinking about you since I heard the news. Rick my heart is aching for you as I know you have lost a dear soul. I remember fondly the last time I bumped into You and Kim at the airport. I recall Kim moving onto Junction Road and always admired her for her cheerful personality and her ability to be who she was without restraint. She was so unique and and just made you feel good when you were around her. Please remember that loss creates a wound that can not be healed but love creates a memory that nobody can ever steal. Thinking of you all.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. I am very shocked to hear of her passing. Kim was an exceptional lady and teacher. I did my internship with her back in 2008, she was an inspiration, I loved working beside her every day and I think back at those memories with a smile. It was her guidance and support that helped me become the teacher I am today. I will never forget her and what she did for me.
My heart goes out to you all.
