Pam, Jim, George and families, I am so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. She was an amazing lady who always had time (and cookies) for all of us kids in the neighborhood. I especially remember her calling out to me when I was going too high on the swings behind your house on Glasgow and nursing my scrapes and bruises when I inevitably fell off! She was a wonderful kind-hearted person who always made you feel special. I hope your happy memories bring you comfort now and in the days ahead.

What a marvellous read through of the condolences for your Mom, Pam and family and friends. She sounded like a truly rounded individual. Admired by many, workers, students, residents and their visitors. Obviously , she brightened many lives with her compassion, cheerfulness, and work ethic.
I can only imagine how great the loss is for you all. I know that she will live on in your stories and your continued interactions with the world around you.
Pam, I now have a full insight to your true nature, which is upbeat, engaging, cheerful, and focused. She has given you wonderful gifts, and I trust these will sustain you through this particular year of personal grief and loss.
Wishing you all the best of times together, and keeping those beautiful lives shimmering about you.

Jim and Family
Although I did not know your mom it is never easy when a mother passes, and hopefully your great memories of her will help you at this time. May she RIP

Dear Pam, Jim, George and families,
I read with sadness of your mom’s death but also many smiles at the wonderful life she lived and her impact on so many throughout her life as a nurse, mother, grandmother, community volunteer and tireless church member. I always looked for her smile and bright eyes at Kenny’s Pond when we visited Dr. Pitt. Deep condolences to Pam and family. Mrs. Case was a lovely lady whom I got to know throughout university and med school with her daughter Pam. She was always welcoming and supportive and got a great chuckle out of some of the crazy things we did. The last time I saw her she gave me a big hug, wished me well in life and said it was not likely she would see me again. She was right. RIP Mrs.. C.

I also worked with Lu at the old General Hospital and she was in Lab City during the 5 years I lived there, 1980 till . 1985 at Capt. William Jackman. She was such a sweet lady. Sincere condolences to her family and friends.

Lu was the first person that introduced me to the phrase, “verbal diarrhea”. Visited her at her home in St. John’s as well as in Salmon Cove. Thanks for the memories my friend and now Rest In Peace.

I served on several committees with Lu in The Girl Guides. My association with her spans a couple of decades. She was dedicated, thorough, competent and always patient. I have nothing but good memories.

To Lulu’s Family
Please know how sorry I am to hear of her passing. I have been singing for the residents of Kenny’s Pond for several years now and have gotten to know Lulu, as each evening we’d catch up after the music. The next time The Walsh Family is at Kenny’s, I’ll sing a special song for her.
Take care
