Obituary

It is It is with heavy hearts that we announce, beautiful wife , mother , grandmother ,sister and great friend has passed peacefully away after a courageous battle with cancer on April 14th, 2017 at the palliative care unit in the Miller Center. Predeceased by her son Chris (2001). Leaving to mourn her loving and devoted husband of 56 years Neil, her best friend and loving daughter Deanne (Tony) Bailey, Her 3 grandchildren Kade, Christian and Cassie whom she adored and loved dearly. Also left to mourn sisters Theresa Lombardo (Sam), Madonna Murphy, Francis Kearsey (Bill deceased), brothers Marty Fleming (Donna), John (Judy), Tom (Barb), and David, sisters in law Barbara Dooley (Tom deceased), Peggy King (Vern deceased) brother in law Matt (Inez) as well as a large number of family and great friends. Neil and Deanne want to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of the Cancer Clinic, St Clare’s and the special staff and volunteers of the palliative care unit for their care and compassion. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday, April 17th from 7-9 PM and Tuesday, April 18th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A funeral mass will take place Wednesday, April 19th at Mary Queen of the World Church on Topsail Road at 9:30 AM. At Marg’s request a cremation has taken place. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to Mary Queen of the World Church, St. Vincent de Paul food bank or Dr. H Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation. Neil and family, I am so sorry to hear of Margs passing. I have many fond memories of bowling with her and Lulu. She was a great friend and team mate.

We were deeply saddened to learn of Marg’s passing. We so enjoyed our many years of bowling together in our Friday Night League, as well as our many road trips to the B Tournament. She was a wonderful lady and a beautiful person. She will be deeply missed. We will keep you in our prayers. RIP Marg, sing with the angels my friend.

It was only just a little while ago that I spoke to her and she was so upbeat and as usual was wearing that beautiful smile, ever the positive attitude and so full of hope.
