Marion Alva Trask (Walters)

March 16, 1936 to January 30, 2020

Obituary

On March 16, 1936 the angels exhaled and breathed into the world the beautiful soul of Marion (Walters) Trask.  What a miraculous day it was as she set out to teach the world the gift of unconditional love and caring.  People generally enjoy doing what they’re good at and Marion was no exception.  A true and devoted wife, daughter, sister, and mother, Marion spent her entire life giving her time and love to other people.  She gave tirelessly to others without a trace of regret, and her love extended to the family as well as to friends.  She spent many years enjoying herself with her husband at their cabin on Salmonier Line; watching America’s Funniest Videos every Sunday night with Debbie, John and dogs (Hank and Harry) who loved her; and spent many celebrations sharing special meals with her family.  An exceptional cook, conversationalist, and seeker of good food, she always lent an ear or a hand to those in need. Marion was devoted to her mother Emma for many years bringing her meals and sharing precious time.  While raising her five children, she also worked with the Campbell Medical Group and later ENT Consultants.

On January 30, 2020 Marion left us to join her parents (Emma and William Walters), her brothers Angus and George, her husband Bernard, daughter Linda, and son Robert (Valerie-living).  Left to mourn her loss are her sisters Ruby Miller (Art-deceased) and Elaine Corning (Orin), and brother Hazen Walters (June).  She will be forever loved by her daughters Debbie (John Guzzwell), Carol (Ian Hutchings), and her son Paul aka Patty.  A huge void is left in the lives of her grandchildren, Leanne, Sara, and Ashley Guzzwell; Renee and Jonathan Hutchings; Sean, Jason, and Mark Trask; and Jacob Trask.  She will be missed but not forgotten by her great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Simon, Kianna and Sara Trask; Autumn Banks, Reign and Marlee Foley; Leah Trask; and Dylan Lethbridge.  Where one life ends, another begins to carry on the memories and joy of a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Marion Trask will also be loved and never forgotten by a large circle of friends, nieces and nephews.

Debbie & family, when you & I were teenagers your Mom welcomed me into your family becoming a second Mother to me, teaching me about love, sharing, kindness and generosity. I fondly remember the time at the cabin when she got an orange crate for me to stand on as she showed you & I how to make Emmy’s delicious lemon squares! We had such great times up there baking, picking berries, digging potatoes with our ‘boyfriends’ Johnny & Gordie who helped your Dad Bern clean the trout they caught! During the big snowstorm of 1982 Gordie & I were stranded up there with you guys & we loved every second of it.! There are so many happy memories of birthdays anniversaries dances & Halloween dress up parties.. Mar was up for all of them as she lived life to the fullest! May you take comfort during this sad time from the many family & friends that surround you. May you feel peace to give you comfort, courage to face the difficult days ahead & loving memories of your dear Mar to forever hold in your heart. Much love from Gordie & me. xox

So sorry for your loss. Thinking of all of you.

We are all sadden by the sudden passing of a wonderful Aunt, and tremendous friend. I will certainly miss our visits, and long conversations.. To Debbie, Carol and Paul and families my deepest sympathy to each and every one of you.

When Marion worked at the ENT,with Dr Tom Smith,She got me in to see him every time I called with My Meinears attack,I called her My guardian Angel, and I told Her so.She was a Gift from Heaven if there ever was one,and I’m sure she will return and be happy there.

We got to know and love Marion during her, and her son Paul’s, visit with Hazen and June in Florida in 2016. She was a joy to be around, always happy and full of fun. We are so sorry to hear of her passing but everyone can take comfort knowing that heaven is a better place now that Marion brings more joy and happiness to it. To Hazen, Ruby, Elaine, and the whole family our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

It is with sadness that we learn today of Marions passing and our sincere thoughts go out to Hazen, Ruby, Elaine and all extended members of the Walters and Trask families. We had many a laugh with Marion and crewe at home, at Indian Arm Pond and Florida. Truer words were never said in describing Marion and her giving tirelessly to others without a trace of regret, and her love extended to the family as well as to friends. Anyone that knows the family knows it is a trait that runs deep up and down the line. Our thoughts are with each of you, particularly at this time. May she forever RIP. Only distance keeps us from attending her service.

Marion you were a huge part of our lives growing up. You always had a smile and always made us laugh. So sad to see you go what seems so soon. May you find peace in the arms of your loved ones. You’ll be missed. Debbie, John and the girls may you cherish all the wonderful memories with your mom and nan. So blessed to be loved by her and lucky to have been so close. We are here for you all in the time of sorrow.
