Obituary
With deepest sorrow, we announce that Ricky Bernard Blagdon (Rick), our beloved son, brother, family member and friend passed suddenly on August 29th, 2019 at the age of 41.
Rick will be missed everyday by his mother Pearl, father Russ, sisters Angie (Paul), Debbie (Karl), brother Chris (Kimberly) his grandmother Susie, his nieces Abby, Eve & Ellie, nephews Patrick & Alex, his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and circle of friends.
The family would like to thank Stella’s Circle (Aaron & Debbie) for their care and support for Rick over the years. Cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel, 329 Freshwater Road, on Saturday, September 7th at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that donations be made in Rick’s honour to Stella’s Circle.

To the Blagdon family (hi Debbie), I am so very sorry for your loss. I had known Rick in passing only in school and got to know him much better through his playing pool as adults. Ive not seen Rick in many years however, and I’m shocked and saddened! Not many folks these days make an impression like Rick… a memorable smile, a zealous friendliness, and oh so intriguingly smart!!! I will remember him this way forever. Thinking of you all during this so very difficult time.
It’s funny how we lose track of time. Seems like only yesterday we were talking about our next big game , or cruising the halls like we owned PWC … and now here I am saying goodbye.
I haven’t seen you in years, but I still remember you, and in fact, in a twist of irony, was talking about you the other day ….25 years later … and saying only good things.
My sincere condolences to the family, even if they don’t remember me, I definitely remember “Ricketts the Rocket Blagdon” and all the good times

He was the best pool player I’ve ever known and we had a lot of good times years back. He was a sharp intelligent guy complemented by a great sense of humour. Even though I haven’t seen him in 12 years as I live in Alberta, at this moment I can picture him sink that 8 ball and laugh just like it were yesterday .
