So sorry and saddened about Robert’s passing. He was a good guy and will be missed.

Laura, Terry, Kim and family,
We were shocked and saddened to hear of Robert’s sudden passing. Although Robert was just a young boy when I left Bauline it will be the cheerful, kind and always helpful man that we will remember. I will never forget several years ago when his Dad, Bert, said to me, if you want to go out and jig a cod Robert will take you. He’s a good hand at it you know…and he was. We will forever cherish the memory of the many fishing trips and the late evening chats just before sunset when Robert did his walk through the community. May God rest your Soul Robert.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Roberts sudden passing. I have known Robert since I was a child and then becoming friends when my husband, son and I moved into Bauline a few years ago. Robert became a part of our family, as he did many others. When my son (Creighton) and I would go for our walks, Robert would be right there ready to come with us. Creighton would always look for him, or invite him in to show him a new toy. “Robert is my best friend” he would say.
He was always there to lend a hand, and when my husband was working he would come by to help with the driveway.
Robert was a special man who will be missed dearly.

My thoughts are with Kim, Terry and family.

Our condolences,
Angela, Gordon, and Creighton Hire

So very sorry to hear of Robert’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Darlene and Barry whalen.

Our deepest sympathy Kim to you and your family. As visitors to Bauline last summer, I and my girls Laura and Callie Bullock and granddaughter Cadence Bullock could not have had a better time without Robert.
He took them cod fishing and was a great skipper. Robert knew the water and where the fish were. The loss is felt not only in Bauline but all the way to the Mississippi Gulf Coast and in Jacksonville Florida. Robert will remain in our hearts forever.
With a sadden heart,
Debbie King, Laura Bullock, Callie Bullock and Cadence Bullock

About a year ago we first met Robert when we started picking up household garbage in Bauline. Right from the beginning we were always greeted by Robert no matter what time we arrived, he always seemed to know when we were around.. Quick to laugh or let us know who was in or out of town we would chat about fish, moose, rabbits, turrs, and the like as he would help us empty the garbage boxes as we walked along. to quote Robert as we heard him shout so often ” go ahead skipper”
May God rest his gentle soul

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Robert’s sudden passing. He was a Bauline institution and will be missed, not only by those who live in the community now but those, like me, who grew up in Bauline years ago. Chris worked with DFO and every time they went down to work on the wharf Robert would be there to chat with them and tell them all the goings on with fishing in the community. He knew everything that was going on with the fishery there. Hold all your memories close to your heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

It’s with great sadness I write here today. My deepest sorrow for Robert’s family. Robert was my long time neighbor and friend. I miss seeing him walking up Main Street to go get the mail and stopping for our daily chat and laughs along the way. He was always so helpful and cared greatly about the people and community. He was my “Mayor Robert” and will be sadly missed by my son, Nick and myself.

Thoughts and prayers to family and friends of friend Robert Butler will be sadly missed.

I went to to school with Robert and moved to Bauline for a couple of years where I spoke to him almost every day,God Bless you Robert,I know you will make many friends in heaven

Kim, Laura and Terry so sad to here the news of Roberts passing, will certainly not be the same going to Bauline especially down the beach and not see Robert coming down for a chat in rain or shine. I am at work out of province but hope to be home for the funeral. God Bless, the picture is beautiful steaming out of the bite

Laura, Kim, Terry, Brian, Rebecca, Noah and extended family and friends…
We are deeply saddened to hear of Roberts passing, and share in your loss.

My deepest condolences to Roberts family, I was saddened to hear such a young man had passed.

I only had the opportunity and pleasure of Speaking to Robert but only twice in many years, But in those conversations, we reminisced of our days in the Fort Pepperrell Navy League Cadets, where I remembered Robert as our Lead Drummer, who never missed a beat in many parades and Drills at the Drill hall at Fort Townsend.
Robert remembered many names of fellow Cadets, that I had long forgot, our Captain Harvey, and others that he recalled without hesitation.
He will be sadly missed i’m sure,

Keep that drum in tune, my old Petty Officer.

I was saddened to hear the news about Robert.

He had a big heart and was always willing to help out in the community.
Robert also had an amazing memory, and could recall names and events that even I had forgotten after many years of being away

You will be missed my friend, by not only me but also by residents of Bauline

Rest in peace Robert

Gods speed

Robert was our first introduction to Bauline. He greeted us as we came down off the East Coast Trail. He remained a friend from that day taking us fishing and always ready for a chat when we were out walking. We will miss him and his friendly smile.
Robert I am sorry we never had our walk to duck pond.

Robert will be missed by us . We use to look forward to going down to the wharf and hopefully he would be sat on the bench by the harbour authority shed. He would light up when he saw us. He would ask how the honeymooners ( his name for myself and Greg ) are doing. He surely will be missed .

Fly high my friend

Condolences to the family. Robert was a kind man and I am sure he will be very much missed in Bauline.
