Obituary

Passed away peacefully at the Health Science Center, Rose Clift, 90 years young. Predeceased by the love of her life John Shannon Clift (2008); her parents Jack and Mercedes Field; brothers and sisters Ralph, Hubert, Hal, Mary, Madge, Alice and Joan, in laws Shannon and Kathleen Clift. Leaving to mourn her children Sharon Clift, Tom (Carol), Vickie Fardy (Gerard), Colleen Clift (Jim), Ken (Ellie) and John (Christine); grandchildren Sherry Brothers (Brian), Shawn Grace (Neva), Marcel Clift (Cassy Drake), Hayley Clift, Andrew Clift (Bassma), Liam Fardy (Heather), Colin Fardy (Sabrina), Neil Fardy (Sara), Kyle Rogers, Steven Rogers, Robert Clift, and Justin Clift (Megan); great grandchildren Alex Brothers, Abbey Brothers, Mark Kenny, Annalise Fizzard and Dorian Clift; brother Ron Field (Laura); in laws Tom Clift (Alice), Patricia Chidley (Walt), Frank Clift (Joan) and Doris Field; her many nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws, to many to mention. Her many friends at St. Pat’s Bowling Alley, RCAF Club and all her friends at Maplewood Place, where she resided. A special thank you to the staff of 4 South B at the HSC for their care and compassion shown towards our mother while in their care. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Monday March 26 from 10-9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place from St. Teresa’s Church on Tuesday March 27 at 9:30 a.m. with cremation follow. Flower’s gratefully accepted, however due to mom’s wishes lilies are declined, or donations in Rose’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

So sorry to hear of Rose’s passing. I didn’t know her really well, but she always had a smile on her face and lived life to the fullest. She certainly will be missed.
