So sorry to hear that Ruby has passed away. We so enjoyed her visits to the Alaint Pioneer Club. She was one of us. She brought her many knitted preemie hats and finger puppets for the Janeway. She also came with humor and hugs. Over the years we learned of the love and pride she had for Harold, her sons and grandchildren. There is a special place in heaven for Ruby, well earned. Take care.

So sorry to hear of Ruby’s passing. I will really miss our telephone calls when we reminisced about old times growing up together. We grew up like sisters and stayed in constant contact over the years. I loved her very much.

It was a real pleasure to have met Ruby. She was a loved visitor to the Fort Pepperell Life Members Pioneer Club. When Ruby’s family members brought her to Pleasantville she was always happy and engaged in visiting with everyone around her. We were always thrilled went Ruby was able to visit and bring in her wonderful knitted items she did for the Janeway Hospital. Ruby was a dynamic lady who lit up the room when she arrived . Ruby will be missed. My condolences go out to her family.

She will stay alive in the memories you have gathered over the years! We will miss her !

She was much loved by my deceased partner, Marguerite Stacey. We visited aunt Ruby often. Condolences to Harold and all the family.

To Ruby’s family

On behalf of the Pioneer Craft Room Ladies Group, our deepest sympathies to all of you on the loss of this amazing lady. We so appreciated the knitting she did for us, newborn baby hats and finger puppets for the Janeway. We were all totally in awe of her knitting abilities even though she was blind. She so enjoyed her brief visits with us, usually accompanied by Celita, when dropping off her knitted treasures, and then leaving with another bag of wool for future projects. No one was safe from a hug while she was there, and she always had a funny comment to make or story to tell. She will be missed!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Ruby will certainly by missed. Especially by the Bell Aliant Pioneers who she did a lot of work for the community through.

To Vic and family: my sincerest condolences to you and the entire Hancock family.

Paul, Sophie and Charlotte,

I have memories of visiting Ruby and Harold over the years. Ruby always seemed to have a knitting project on the go. I often wonder how many little hats she had knit for the premies born in the Janeway. She often gifted me with knitted dishcloths when I’d visit and would always show off her most recent pictures of her gorgeous grandchildren.

Often, when I’d visit Mom, she would provide an update on her most recent chat with Ruby. Sharing gold nuggets of news on their two, much loved granddaughters (Sophie and Charlotte) and their Dad.

Harold, Gary, David , Victor and Paul and families,

Life goes by so fast. Hold onto your many precious memories.

May her spirit be free to soar as Ruby makes her transitions to the spiritual realm. May you all find peace in knowing you were all blessed to have lived with the love of this fine woman.

Sending our love ❤️ Daphne and Gary MacNeil
