Obituary

Passed peacefully away on November 13, 2019 at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, in the presence of her loving family, Sadie Rose.

Predeceased by parents Lydia and Richard Tucker; husband John Patrick; infant daughter Susannah; son John; daughter Susanna; siblings David, Cyril, Clementine, Charles, Pearl, Sim, Marg, Mary, Moses and Richard.

Leaving to mourn children Morris (Betty – deceased), Caroline (Tony), Kathleen (Tom), Fred (Cheryl), Donald (Robin), Bernard (Lorraine – deceased), Eliot, Adrian (Paula), and Carolyn (Randy); grandchildren Kimberley, Darren, Shannon and Anna (mother Stella), Shelly, Robin, Karla, Donald (mother Rita), Dianna, Rebecca, Kenon, Julia, Jenna, Adriane, Emily and Jonathan; great-grandchildren Abigail, Eva, John, Michael, Starla, Jessie, Natalie, Lora, and a great-grand baby surprise; sister Phoebe; the McRoberts family, special nieces Jean and Elizabeth; the Oliver family, nephew Eric; the Squires family; and family friend John Doyle.

A special thank you to the staff at St. Clare’s on 4 West for their exceptional care.

Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Thursday, November 14 from 10 a.m. 8 p.m., and Friday, November 15 from 12 noon – 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held from The Carnell Memorial Chapel on Friday, November 15 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Sadie’s memory to The Canadian Cancer Society.

So sad to hear about Aunt Sadie’s passing. I have great memories of her. She was very much loved and will be greatly missed.

To all my cousins , their spouses and their children and grand children. So sad that aunt Sadie has left you. We will all miss her very much. She loved to laugh and joke around, and made a “game of cards” so enjoyable, it often ended up in “tears of laughter”.

Sadie was one of a kind and will surely be missed. I have so many wonderful childhood memories of being at her store and visiting the house and so many chats over the years. There was always a smile and a twinkle in her eye.
I know she has left you all with so many incredibly wonderful memories….they will get you through.

We were all very saddened to hear the news of your Mom and Nan’s passing. The loss of a loved one so dear is never easy. Her life will be remembered and celebrated through her goodness, kindness and love shared with that of her family. In your hearts, you will always be together.
