Mrs. Lal was one of my favourite teachers at Holy Heart in the late 60’s, at one time she organized an international dress presentation and she chose me to wear one of her beautiful saris it was an experience and honor I have never forgotten, deepest condolences to the family of a wonderful lady!

Our deepest condolences for a sad loss. Both Dr. and Mrs. Lal had lived a full and long life. they had always been very private people. I was fortunate to have met them several times over the years. I will always remember their kindness. May their memory be a blessing.

Dear Jennifer and family: Mrs. Lal taught me world history at Holy Heart of Mary in grade 10. She had a passion for teaching English and gave us a wide world view. We kept in touch and I blessed to have her present at my final vows profession in St. Alban’s- an 8 hour drive from St. John’s. She gave me a brief case which I used for many years. She was an excellent cook and I enjoyed a meal at her home. She loved teaching us even if at times it was challenging. She was faithful and active in her faith. Condolences to Jennifer who loved her so very much. May her memory be a blessing.

I was privileged to teach with Stella at Holy Heart. She was passionate about teaching and her students, speaking always kindly about them and with high praise.

My condolences to Stella’s family.

With profound grief and saddened heart, we have now come to learn about the demise of our beloved, caring, gentle and benevolent aunt Stella (my mom’s youngest sister) and uncle Mohan Lal. who had presumably been in the nursing home for quite sometime and were unable to get in touch with us in India. We Mohan, Prem (nephews), Padmini (niece), Dorathy (daughter- in -law) Vinod & Dr Sandra (grand newphew and grand niece respectively) mourn over the loss of our beloved Aunt and uncle and pray for the repose of their souls. You both have been a source of help, both financially and morally since childhood for which we are extremely indebted and will continue to remember you both till the last breath of our lives. Eternal rest grant unto them Oh Lord and let perpetual Light shine upon them

Very sad to learn about Aunty Stella and Uncle Mohan’s demise. We had no news from them for a long time. Presumably they were unwell and not in a position to communicate. I happen to be her niece ( brothers daughter) from Chennai, India. All I can say is they are in a better place. May their souls rest in peace.

My condolences to Mrs. Lal’s family and friends. She taught me at Holy Heart and was such a lovely lady who was respected by those who knew her. Rest in Peace.

Deeply saddened by the passing of Auntie Stella and Uncle Mohan. Fondly remember their wonderful hospitality during my several stays at Osbourne St., the memorable drive we took with Jennifer, and our lovely picnic. Had been hoping to return to St. John’s once the pandemic restrictions were lifted… but alas. Now they are eternally at peace and our unforgettable memories will be cherished forever.

Mrs. Lal taught me biology at Holy Heart. She was brilliant, very sweet and it seemed like she wore a different beautiful sari every day. I remember her explaining DNA and RNA so clearly, she predicted it would become a biology star. She told us above her love story with her husband. I was so delighted to meet them many years later and she was her shy, charming Stella, a shining beautiful soul. May she rest in peace.

Mrs Lal was a teacher of mine at Holy Heart .a very beautiful lady .my condolences to her family.

I remember very fondly Mrs.Lal from both her days teaching at Holy Heart and for having been a neighbour of mine. She was a friendly lady and was kind to all us young people. When she was dressed up in her beautiful saris and jewelry accompanied by her handsome husband, she was admired by all us young girls. To her family, I am truly sorry for your loss. May God grant her eternal rest.
