Obituary
Passed away suddenly at home on July 6, 2020 at the age of 55. Predeceased by his parents Jerry and Mary Coffey. Left with fond and loving memories his wife and best friend Jackie, brother Jerry (Wanda), sisters Karen Trask, Janet Richards and Susan Coffey, as well as a large circle of friends, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, and extended family (Prices and Barrys), especially his mother-in-law Annie Barry. Cremation has taken place. Private family visitation will take place in St. John’s, with interment in Placentia. Donations in Vaughn’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

My dearest Jackie, though I didn’t get to know Vaughn really well, I know he made you one happy woman and you made him one happy man. You two deserved each other and loved each other in ways so very special to you both. You may have lost your partner in person, but you will be forever blessed to have him in your heart and soul. And, I know from personal experience that your heart is very large. Vaughn can take up 80% of it but the rest of us still need you too. You are an amazing person and you will see your way through this challenging time because of your family and friends. Vaughn will rest peacefully because he was able to say good bye the only way he knew how to – with you by his side. Celebrate your amazing union and give thanks every day for what this human brought to your life, and the lives of so many others. I love you, and by extension I love Vaughn. I suspect your blue-eyed, handsome man will watch over you forever and a day.

He was certainly one of the most energetic, free spirited, kind kids from the neighbourhood. This passed April, he called our Mom to wish her a happy 97th birthday, she was thrilled to hear from him.
