Obituary

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and friend, just before her 97th birthday, Violet Frampton.  Born to Maud and Issac Short of Hants Harbour on July 23, 1922.  She is predeceased by her husband Ralph, 1978; brother Harold (Lily); sisters Janet (Ches) and Doris (Don). Violet leaves to cherish her wonderful memories, her 3 sons David (Jackie), Gary (Bridget) and Robert (Glenda); daughter Sylvia (Max) Downey; 8 grandchildren, Lindsy (Steph), Jesse (Jessica), Mark (Joanne), Andrew, Stephen, Caroline (Sam), Paul and Darryl (Cindy), step grandchildren and great grandchildren; special niece Mabel, and extended family and friends.  The family would like to thank the staff of both Meadow Creek and Pratt Place of Agnes Pratt Home for their care and compassion shown towards mom during her stay.  Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Sunday June 30 and Monday July 1 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral service will take place from St. Mary the Virgin Church, Craigmiller Ave, on Tuesday July 2 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Kenmount Road Anglican Cemetery.  Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Violet’s memory may be made to Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Center or St. Mary’s Anglican Church.

Hello all, So very sorry to hear of Aunt Vi’s passing……I remember her very well growing up …..especially visits at Christmas to Nan and Gramp’s ( Lily and Harold)….. I still have the set of pearls she gave me as a Christmas gift when I was young……will continue to cherish them…..thinking of you all, with deepest condolences.
