Obituary

Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Saturday, July 4, 2020, Violet Williams, age 91, of St. John’s.  She is predeceased by her dance partner in life and devoted husband of 66 years, Charlie (2016); her parents William and Mary Kirby, sisters Jean, Isabelle and Cora; brothers Edward and Bill.

Leaving to mourn her are her three loving sons Randy (Anne), David (Marie) and Geoff (Karen); four grandchildren Megan Hicks (Andrew), Tim, Jordan and Kyle Williams; one cherished great grandson Oliver Hicks; many nieces and nephews, special nephew Bob Young, and special friends Mary Churchill and Nita Long.

Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Tuesday July 7 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.  No flowers by request, a donation in Violet’s memory may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one’s choice.
