Obituary
Passed away at Health Science Complex on Thursday, September 12 2024, in his 63rd year after a long battle with illness, John Wight.
John is predeceased by his parents Wallace and Alice Wight. Also his brother Greg Wight.
Leaving to mourn are his brothers: Robert (Catherine), Carl, Paul (Tracey), and his sister; Susan (Sylvester-deceased). Also a large number of nieces and nephews and other family members.
A special mention to his support group at the pub including Frank and Pam who made some of his evenings enjoyable during his battle with his illness.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation from Carnell’s Funeral Home on Freshwater Road on Monday September 16, 2024 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Funeral Service to follow same day at 2:30 p.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel.

Rest easy John. We had many a great conversation and debates when we used to meet walking at Quidi Vidi Lake. Even though you were in pain you still managed to get out of your car and stroll to the edge of the lake to feed the birds. My condolences to your family.
