Mark & Jason,
On behalf of the Florence Pippy our family, we would like to express our sympathies. I personally have such wonderful memories of your Mom and Dad. Your father was a card and always teased me and made be laugh. Your mom was the back-up and went along with your fathers shenannigans. When I told Mom about your Mom, she was deeply saddened and replied ‘Well I must be next because Sally and I did everything together’.
With Mom’s failing memory, it’s the one thing she remembers everyday. That Sally is gone!
Warmest hugs to you and your family.

Pam (for Flo)

Mark and Jason-
I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I remember winter days spent skating on the little pond behind your house and will always fondly remember both your parents as an integral part of our isolated little neighbourhood. Mrs. Le Messurier, or “Sally”, as she insisted I call her in later years, was a very engaging woman, interested in everything, who could always be counted on for a lively exchange of ideas. You boys were the centre of her world and I know you will miss her very much.

To Sally’s family: We were so sorry to learn of your loss of your Mother. We go back a long way with the Steinhauer family. When your grandparents moved to Portugal Cove Road we moved our young family in to 2 Forest Avenue. Our children will always cherish memories of growing up in the best neighbour hood in St.John’s
As I am sure Sally & Jimmy did also.
Please accept our sincere condolences.
