Obituary
Surrounded by her loving family, Agnes (Hibbs) Collins, age 95, passed away peacefully at Agnes Pratt Home on October 19, 2019. She was predeceased by her husband Philip; grandsons Steven and David; great granddaughter Maggie; and son in law Russell. Agnes is also predeceased by her parents Jacob and Elizabeth Hibbs; brothers Robert (Violet) and Jonathan (Mariah); Sisters Eliza (Frank), Gertrude (Eleazer), and Effie (Walter); Brother in laws Wilfred (Annie), Roland, Quince, and sister in law Jane (Daniel).
Leaving to mourn with special memories are children: Clyde (Gwen), Elizabeth (Bruce), Norman (Agnes), Marilyn, Jacob (Diane), and Gary (Kate); Grandchildren Elaine (Doyle), Tina (Scott), Todd (Tonya), Angela (Robert), Chris (Tiffany), Amanda (Kevin), Kyla (Andrew), and Andrew (Samantha). Great grandchildren Jessica, Gracie, Dennis, Daniel, Philip, and Steven; as well as special nephew Derrick and great nephew Jason; Brothers in law Pearce (Ella) and Baxter (Elizabeth); and sister in law Pearl; special friend Carol Ann (Ross); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and past home care workers.
A special thanks to the staff of Agnes Pratt Nursing Home for their care and compassion during moms stay.
Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on October 21 from 2-9 p.m. and October 22 from 10 am -9 pm. Funeral to be held on October 23rd from St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove at 11:00 am. with interment to follow at St. Lawrence Anglican Cemetery, Bauline Line Ext.
Flowers accepted or donations in her memory to Ronald McDonald House or the St. Lawrence Anglican Church.

Grandmother Collins, as I knew her, was my adopted grandmother. She had a hugh heart and was loved by everyone who met her. I looked forward to visiting every chance I got and was always welcome to her home. She was family and know now that she is at peace and reunited with family. Thank you for all the love and care that you gave to me.
My heart is so heavy today because I just heard of the loss of a wonderful woman who sence I was a 5 year old girl thought of as the grandmothers I never got to meet. I loved her as if she was my own and I was so blessed and honored each time I saw her. She will forever hold a peace of my heart. Love you and fly high with the Angel’s.
