Angela Doris (Pittman) Pretty
June 2nd, 1963 – August 24th, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Angela Doris Pittman Pretty, age 63, on August 24th, 2026 at the Health Science Centre in St. John’s, Newfoundland, surrounded by her loved ones.
Angela touched the lives of many with her great sense of humor, kindness and warmth. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.
Angela was predeceased by her husband, Floyd; mother, Nina (1977); father, James (2020); sister Margie; nephew, Jamie; Nana Balsam; and Nan Murphy. As well as her mother-in-law Jean Pretty; father-in-law Robert Pretty; and brother-in-law Robert Pretty Jr and all of whom she loved dearly.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Adam and his partner Amanda, Dylan (Christan), Shane (Bethany) and her grandson Tyson. Also missing our beautiful sister are her siblings Danny, Susan, Shelly, and Lisa. The Pretty family Barb, Donna, Marilyn, Sharon, Paul and Keith.
Sadly missing her as well nephews, Evan, Blaine, Grant and Noah, nieces, Jennifer, Jessica and Felicia and nieces and nephews in the Pretty family. Her childhood and longest friend, Michelle Holloway. Dear friends, Diane and Arnold Penney. Her fur baby PJ (Pee) is already missing his mom. Ang also has a long list of family and friends that will be missing her.
Sadly, our lives just got quieter.
At Ang’s request Cremation has taken place. There will be no service, but the family will announce a Celebration of Life at a later date.
At the end of every phone call, she always said, “Talk to you later.” So, Ang, we will talk to you later.
May she rest in peace. She will be held in our hearts always.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an animal rescue group of your choice as animal rescue was important to Ang and /or The Canadian Lung Association.

I am deeply sorry for the loss of my wonderful childhood friend and lifelong friend, Angela. Her beautiful smile, kind spirit, and generous heart brought warmth to everyone around her. She was always willing to help others, and her friendship meant so much to me.
Growing up together, going to school, spending time together, and staying close throughout the years gave me so many cherished memories. I will always treasure the laughter, conversations, and special moments we shared.
Please know that my heart is with you and your entire family during this incredibly difficult time. Angela will always hold a special place in my heart and will be deeply missed.

Yes she truly did touch sooo many lives in a positive way She was so kind to everyone. She was funny , cheerful , witty & compassionate. She loved her family to the moon & back. Even though all her suffering in the past few years she tried to stay independent. Her suffering is over now. She’s gone to be with her loved ones who have left before her. They are all waiting for her. Especially poppa Balsom. He thought the world of Ang & she thought the world of him. Rest easy now my wonderful niece.

There is only one Ang. The adventures we would go on back in the day. Our children growing up together. I can still hear your voice calling them. I remember when you gave me a copy of Floyds CD. I still have it. You are always in my heart my friend. Our family loves you so much. Till we meet again. My heart is heavy for the entire family of yours and your friends. XO you are dearly missed and cherished.
