Obituary
Passed peacefully away at St. Luke’s Home Austin Tucker, age 93 of St. Philip’s. Predeceased by his wife Ida Jean, daughter Judy, parents Jehu and Alice, brothers Cyril, William (Mac), Johnson and Tasker.
Left with fond and loving memories sons Robert (Corina), Glen (Shelly) and Darrin (Andrea), cherished grandchildren Rebecca (Alec), Jared and Claire, sister Anne Sharpe, and a large circle of relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff and nurses of Inglewood, St. Luke’s Home.
Cremation has taken place and at his request there will be no visitation or service. Interment will take place at a later date.

Bob, Glen, Darrin, Spouses, Grandchlidren, Annie, Aunt Hilda and extended family., I was very sad to read about Uncle Austin’s passing. He was a kind and generous, very hard working man, who, along with Aunt Jean, raised a beautiful family., with the biggest hearts and souls. I have many awesome memories of Uncle Austin showing us his gardens, rhubarb patch, bunnies, chickens, cats, horses..and not forgetting the geese., who would chase us around.!!I loved visiting and going “up on the back”, as many of us were so lucky to do.. Your dad would give us eggs, with two blue, one for me and Dar. We ate many veggies from the garden, I know all of you put hard work in to keeping the gardens.. We all appreciated it. Mom always had rhubarb jam, … Your father would try to help Dar out, dropping off veggies and eggs, after dad died.. He wouldn’t let you know that he was there, he would open up the porch door and lay them inside.. He never asked for a thing from anybody but would give you the shirt of his back, if he could. He and Aunt Jean were two of Dad’s Best Friends.. Dad spent one of his last days with your Mom and Dad, drinking your Moms homemade wine, and probably more than that. I know the heartache of losing a dad and my heart goes out to all of you… We all know Uncle Austin was a very private gentleman, in life… and now in death. … Just wanted to let you all know that you are thought about, during this sad time. My dear cousins, My heart goes out to you all as you mourn the loss of another dear one. Austin was a truly lovely man, quiet, friendly and o so generous. Mom looked forward every fall to the delicious vegetables he would give her. She thought the world of him and Jean and in latter years spent many a Sunday afternoon visiting with them. My condolences on the passing of Austin. I worked with him for many years and enjoyed every encounter with him. When I went to his home to work on his truck he would always take me up in the back to look at all the old cars and trucks and everyone had a story. RIP Austin
