It is with great sadness that the family of Bessie Dale Sheppard announces her passing. Dale passed away at home on December 31st, 2025, at the age of 76 with her husband and family beside her.
Predeceased by her father Lloyd Coish, mother Beulah Coish, brother Rick Coish and sister Sylvia Keeping.
Leaving to mourn with cherished memories is her husband Edward Lee Sheppard and her children Coralie Young (Scott) and Dion Sheppard (Jaimie); grandchildren Jakob Young, Dylan Young, Alex Sheppard, and Beth Sheppard; sister Darlene Pittman (Dean), brother Lloyde Coish (Elaine), brother David Coish (Danielle) and brother Dwayne Coish (Pamela); many loved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Dale (Bessie) was a strong, caring and selfless wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who always put family needs first. Dale loved children and took great pride in being a foster parent. She cared for many nieces and nephews and in later years moved to Paradise to help care for her own grandchildren. Dale loved to walk and spent many years walking Deer Lake streets and then the trails in Paradise with her daughter. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her dearly.
Deepest thanks to my father, Lee Sheppard, for my mother’s care and love in her last years. It has been a difficult journey and my father stayed beside mom and provided the care she needed until the end.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Release of Ashes ceremony in Deer Lake will be announced later for friends and family.
Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society in lieu of flowers.
