Passed peacefully away with family by her side, on Thursday, January 12, 2023, Betty Maureen Spurrell at the age of 93.
Predeceased by her spouse Judd and parents Mary and Thomas, siblings Jessie (Art), Fred (Eleanor), Berdina (Bill), Eileen and Mark.
Left to mourn her children Rick (Myra) and Susan Thomas (Tony); grandchildren Mark (Melissa), Renee (Matthew), Kari (Jeff), Jared (Hilary) and Heather (Royce); great grandchildren William, Alexander, Alex, Oliver, Harleigh, Asher and Oscar; siblings Gordon (Betty Lou) and Cyril (Georgie); sister-in law Diane Ball (Alan) and brother-in-law John Moore; her close friend Mercedes Pine.
The family extends a sincere thank you to the staff of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home and Dr. Patrick O’Shea for their professionalism, kindness and wonderful care.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be held from The Carnell Memorial Chapel, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday, January 16 at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
No flowers by request. Donations in Betty’s memory may be made to St. Patrick’s Mercy Home Foundation or a charity of your choice.
