Beloved eldest son of Elizabeth Scammell-Reynolds and the late Cal Reynolds of St. John’s.  Cherished grandson of the late Mary (Payne) and Stewart Claude Scammell.  Besides his mother, he leaves to mourn his brothers: Brian of Paradise and Peter and his wife Cindy Reynolds of Mississauga, ON; his “honorary” brother Wade Giles and his wife Jeanne Pengelly of Mistissini, QC ; his nephews Joseph Stewart Reynolds and his wife Haley Reynolds and their son Theo of St. John’s; his niece Alix Reynolds and her partner Matthew Gusul of Edmonton; his cousins: Dr. Bill, John, Aaron, & Karen Cobb and their families; the family of Lynn (Scammell) Goodfellow in England; the Reynolds family formerly of Salmon Cove, Carbonear; Migs the cat; and special friends: Paul and Patsy Horwood, Bonnie Lundrigan, Michelle Rebidoux, and all the “basement alumni.”

There are many who will remember fondly all the excellent meals cooked by Bruce and the tomatoes, herbs, and chard he grew and gave away – especially to his neighbours.

Elizabeth, my sister told me about your son’s passing. My condolences on your loss.

Elizabeth, I just heard about Bruce’s death. It must be very difficult for you. The natural order leads us to expect our children not to die before us., so this brings an extra painful time for you. Reading some of the messages, I heard some very kind and thoughtful comments. A little grace for you and your family. Take care. Irving

Scam, I just found out the sad news, and I wish I could hug you. I am so very sorry! Just recently I ran across a picture of your 3 darling boys, probably taken during the ’60s, all dressed alike, and I was thinking of you all. Bruce was always so nice to us when we were visiting Newfoundland and had one of the wonderful meals at your home, and I always enjoyed talking with him. My condolences to the family, and much love to you.
