Louise, and family, so sorry to hear of Cal’s passing. My sincere condolences to you and family.

Jeff, my Mom told me of your Dad’s passing. It was nice to have the flowers left at the church from the funeral.
I know what’s like to lose a Father so you/we will have memories, experiences to jog certain feelings and times that he has a close presence.
Dad always had a high respect/opinion of Cal: a good supporter of the church, VOWR (Dad wrote a book on it) and a kind of distant relative. .

Janet and Karen,

Thinking of you and your whole family as you mourn the loss of your wonderful Dad! I remember him and your Mom fondly from when we were young (the good old Zellers days). I’m sure you have a million beautiful memories from his long, amazing life., which I hope will help ease some of the pain of losing him. Beth

Cal and Louise graduated from Curtis Academy high school the same year as I did.
Curtis won the high school football and basketball championships that year and Cal was captain of the football team. I also bowled with Call in the city club league and played junior baseball with him. In the baseball playoffs one year, Cal hit a home run when we won our only game. Good memories. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Extending our deepest sympathies to Louise and Family.
We will miss him loads and raise a cup to remember him.

Glenn and I extend our deepest sympathies to the family on the passing of Mr. Legrow. We know he will be deeply missed.

Sorry to hear about Cal’s passing. I’ve known Cal since our mid teenage years. Some of the boys used to tease him by singing “they grow small potatoes down in Bauline”. Whatever that was about, I don’t know.

Condolences from the Hutchens family
Mom and. Dad often spoke of Cal and their St. Pete’s vacations.

Our condolences to the family!

Jeff & family,

Louise and Jeff, so sorry to hear about Cal’s passing. I worked with Cal for a couple of years at Job’s Insurance and crossed paths over the years. He was a true gentleman and a great guy. Cal will be sadly missed.

Fond memories of Mr. LeGrow as a coach for minor hockey so many, many years ago. I’m sure you will draw strength from your own memories of a life well lived.

Jeff, Janet and family… so sorry for your loss! Cal was such a sweet man and I always loved seeing him come into the office or to the various events that took place during Christmas etc. He was like a father figure to all of us…a man you would never want to disappoint because he was so supportive and fair to everyone. Such a bright light and joy to be around. He will be missed!

The celebration of Cal’s life and legacy today, was an absolute honour to behold. What a wonderful tribute to an astonishing man, who will undoubtedly live forever, in oh so many hearts and lives. His smile will always serve as a positive light in the world.
Your family is beyond special – the love, connections, positivity…..We are holding you all in our hearts and prayers.

Jeff , Karen Janet, Mrs. Legrow I’d like to offer my deepest condolences. I have only fond memories of Cal, from early days of playing Avalon Minor hockey with the families to being a bartender at one of the Cal Legrow Christmas parties. It was always a lot of laughing and fun to be around your father. May you find some comfort in the days ahead.

Thinking of you at this difficult time ,I had the pleasure of knowing Cal as well as caring for him for a short time ,Cal was a sweet and kind man and loved his life and family very much as well Cal loved a good joke even the cheesy ones ,I would try to remember as many as I could just so I could tell him the next day which he always enjoyed and had a laugh at. A great person! Both him and Louise must have made an impression on me for I have thought and mentioned them several times. Cal’s humour ( most which took place during meals)and all the laughter was just what we as students needed after a day of lectures. This was the year of their first born! Great memories of my stay at Grendel Avenue indeed. Our condolences to the family at this time.

Our deepest sympathy to the entire family and we hope you find comfort in all the wonderful memories you have of him.

To “Aunt” Louise, Jeff, Karen, Janet and families:

It’s difficult to accurately put into words, the level of sorrow that we feel for you today. To us, “Uncle Cal” was a larger-than-life type of person who, over the years, brought much fun and friendship our way. Memories of our families vacationing together back in-the-day at Trinity Cabins or just regular visits between us, bring a smile and he will always be fondly remembered as a warm, personable gentleman who was regarded by us as being very much like one of our own family. But, our greatest admiration, is for his legacy as a successful business person, whose corporate name has grown to become a very prominent one in our province and will continue to be so in the foreseeable future. May you rest in peace, “Uncle Cal.”

Our entire family extends our deepest of sympathies and love to you.

The Kirby families: Sadie, Keith and Roxanne, Doug and Kathleen, Bob and Lisa, and Ben, Shawn, Jacob and Claire.

Jeff and Family – Deepest condolences on the passing of this wonderful man. May he rest in peace

Deepest Condolences to the LeGrow Family for your loss. I have many fond memories growing up a few doors down from Cal and eventually making a career (31 years and going) with the very successful business he stared. He was a kind and generous man, a staunch Habs fan (one of the reasons we got along so well) and most importantly an amazing Husband, Father (sometimes to me) & Grandfather.. I’ve had him wake me up from his rec room floor on Exmouth Street because I was unable to walk home just 3 houses away. (read between the lines why). The one thing I learned over the years while at the LeGrow home for various functions NEVER let Cal mix your drink!! (refer to previous comment re rec room floor). Cal was truly a gentleman and will be missed by the countless many people he touch in hi 88 years. May he rest in peace

Please accept my sincere sympathy on the passing of Cal.
