It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our sweet dear mother Carmel Ann (Quilty) Antle.
Peacefully passed away in the loving presence of her daughter Roxanne and son-in-law Keith, April 1st, 2025, in her 83rd year.
It was time to go, her body was tired – she fought a tough fight. Dad and Jackie were waiting so it was time for us to say goodbye.
Predeceased by her Husband Charles James Antle Jr. (2013), Daughter Jacqueline Marie Antle (1977), foster daughter Cynthia Marie Littlejohn (2017), parents Michael and Laura Quilty; brothers: Gerald, Mike and Edward; sisters Mary, Rita, Agnes, Regina, and Lucy.
Left to mourn are her loving daughters Michelle and Roxanne (Keith Wade); son Tony (Elaine); foster son Fred Pearce; daughter-in-law Ann Taylor; grandchildren: Bradley (Brittany) and Laura (Matthew) Wade, Crystal Geary, Megan (Rory), Adam (Kassie) and Michael (Jenna) Taylor ; great-grandchildren Charlie and Quinn Wade, Abigail, Mikayla, Jacob, Summer, Emily, Maddy, Casey, Olivia and Romi; brother Nick Quilty; sisters-in-law Jenny Quilty and Ellen Quilty; brothers-in-law David Antle and Roland Clarke. She leaves behind a large number of nieces and nephews – most of whom considered her a second mother/grandmother. Mom will also be fondly remembered by her long time Bingo buddies – Muriel, Linda & Jenny.
We are so grateful for all the care and compassion that was given to Mom during her stay at St. Luke’s Nursing Home, both the staff on Fairhaven and Inglewood went above and beyond to make our mom’s final days as comfortable as possible, especially to her favorites Chad and Bill. It has been a very difficult time for the family since Mom had her first stroke in May and we would like to acknowledge the many hours and visits her granddaughter Laura spent with her, Mom always said, “Laura is a good girl” and appreciated the time she spent with her.
To those that took the time to visit mom during her time at the hospital, Miller Centre and then her final months at St. Luke’s, we truly appreciated it. Those visits were important to her and to her family as those that knew her well knew how much she had enjoyed her social life.

So sorry to read of Carmel’s passing.,what a lovely lady she was indeed. Both Carmel & Junior always welcomed you into the home with open arms.
My parents, Anita & Jack visited them often on our many Sunday drives to Paradise. My Dad wrote a letter to them both when they lost their beautiful Jackie at the age of 13. Jackie & I were the same age & shared the same name.
I met Tony about a year ago & had a great chat with him about his Mom.
Rest Easy Carmel, you had a heart of gold.
I will visit u at your resting place soon

Deepest sympathy t0 all Carmel’s family. I was shocked to read of her death, I thought she would be around for a good while yet. She was always so full of life. I hadn’t seen her for a couple of years and she was the same friendly, upbeat woman I have known since our teenage years. Charlie and Junior were good friends, and through him we got to know Carmel. During our early married years we lived close to each other on Paradise Rd. Carmel and I often visited when our children were young. We left the are in 67, and in subsequent years only met occasionally. It was always lovely to see them. Even after losing their little girl and then Junior, Carmel remained the positive, strong woman she had been. God bless all of you as you learn to live without her. Hold unto your precious memories. May she rest in peace and rise in glory. Shirley and Charlie Gosse.

I am so saddened to hear of Carmel’s passing. My sincere condolences to Michelle, Roxanne, Tony, Fred, all your families, extended families and large circle of friends. May the peace that comes from the memories of love shared comfort you now and in the days ahead. Carmel, you and Charlie, the friendship with my parents and family always a constant. A short prayer: “Heavenly Father, provide your love, mercy and grace for Carmel on her journey into eternal life. Lord, into your loving arms grant Carmel rest and peace. We also pray for those who are left behind, that they would find comfort and hope in your presence and the promise of seeing their loved one Carmel again. Amen.”
To Carmel’s family: I was saddened to read of Carmel’ s passing. My heartfelt condolences to all. Carmel was a great friend to all and always willing to help others and to share with others her lovely home cooked meals and goodies. We spent many great times together and had many great laughs. She loved to see you come visit and never enough time for all the catching up. Growing up i spent lots of my summer vacation in Paradise, shared up between 3 wonderful homes and families and oh boy did I loved it there I couldn’t hardly wait for June to roll around. again. I have a ton of memories from my childhood that were made in Paradise., thanks to you all. God Bless and give you all the strength you deserve to carry on your journey in life without your beautiful Mom. Hug one another often and keep your mom’s memory alive forever. 💔🙏🏻🫂
I worked with Carmel over 30 years ago at Sears, in particular on the early morning team. We worked early mornings and late nights, and so many laughs were had. On more than one occasion she would bring in Paradise bread and share it with me during our break times. She was a lovely, kind woman. My condolences to her family.
