It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Carol Ann Tricco (nee Moore) on September 16th at age 84. Predeceased by her parents Ralph and Eva (Freake).

Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 56 years Bruce, daughter Pamela (Rob Hawkins) and cherished grandchildren Julianna and Keira. Sisters Fern Moore, Allison Bailey (Ted) and sister-in-law Barbara Tricco.  As well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Carol leaves behind a large circle of friends and neighbours who mourn her passing. Their support and love through the years brought her great comfort.

Carol showed us how to enjoy life and to be thankful for the little things. She battled courageously with many illnesses throughout the years, but her zest for life and strong love of her close-knit family carried her through.  Resilience was her superpower. Her son-in-law Rob often said, “if Carol lost an arm, she would grow one back.”  This speaks to how fearlessly she fought and won her many medical battles.

The family will receive visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Tuesday, September 20th from 2:00PM – 6:00PM. The funeral service will be held at the Carnell Memorial Chapel Wednesday, September 21st at  2 PM.  Inurnment to follow at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or 150 RCAF (North Atlantic) Wing.
