Mrs. Bourne and Carolyn’s loved ones: I was deeply saddened to hear of Carolyn’s untimely passing. Reading through these messages of condolence, I can only say “yes”. The descriptions totally nailed the wonderfulness of Carolyn’s outgoing, generous, and vibrant personality. We shared the same birth date, although a year apart, and would often go to lunch to celebrate, especially when we both worked at MUN. You left a bright mark on many lives, and will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time of deep sorrow.

Dear Gerry and Family: we can’t begin to imagine what you are feeling. Please know we send our heart-felt condolences. Carolyn was a beautiful and most remarkable woman in every sense. She demonstrated kindness and empathy, had a wonderful sense of humor, great fashion sense, and could have been a spokesperson for any lipstick company! Carolyn was always upbeat and was a great inspiration to all who knew her. She will be missed but never forgotten. All our love, Bev (nee Bourne) and Austin Ball

Gerry, Clay, Cory, Aunt Ruby, Ken, Keith and families, so sad to hear of Carolyn’s passing. May she rest in peace. I am so fortunate to have reconnected with her. She was a beautiful person, inside and out. Carolyn truly cared for others and was a very positive person; always a kind word and there to help others.

I am in Portugal, and was so sorry to hear the sad news., Carolyn gave such encouragement to me and others while fighting her own battle. Tha!s the kind person she was. I will miss her.

My condolences to Gerry and family.
It is so sad to lose a wonderful secretary who became as wonderful a friend. Carolyn always had so much energy, even through her illness, and that was inspiring.
Thank you, Carolyn, for all your work for nearly 30 years, and for explaining to me the importance you placed on lipstick. Although you always said you looked well because of it, I think the twinkle in your eyes was also important.
Bon voyage.
Mike

Gerry,, Clay, Corey, Aunt Ruby:Ken & Keith, Thinking of you at this difficult time in your lives. So sad to think of Carolyn’s passing. It was only 5 weeks ago that we spent Sunday afternoon cooking a scoff of greens on our deck. She had such a beautiful, strong and caring attitude. She will be sadly missed by us. It was her positive attitude that kept her going.

To Carolyn’s family, I offer my deepest thoughts of sympathy. I met Carolyn approximately 5-6 years ago when she joined my Weight Watchers group. Within a short time after she was diagnosed with Ovaruan Cancer and since that time I have seen the bravest fight by an individual to overcome ! She had good times and bad times but never gave up her zest for life and to stay connected with her Weight Watchers sisterhood ladies who she often said gave her a reason to fight because of keeping her in the social circle! Carolyn, you were our angel and inspiration and we learned so much about mortality from you. Go fly with the angels and please never forget the positive impact you left behind. Rest In Peace my friend!

So sorry to hear of Carolyn,s passing..My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time

Parker will always be reminded of what an amazing Nana you were and how much you loved him. May you rest in peace xoxo

Clay, as you know, I first met your wonderful mom as a student working at MUN. No matter how much time had gone by between our conversations and run ins, she remained just as genuine, kind and interested in how my life was going as she did the first day that I met her. I knew her long before I knew Mark or yourself and I always really loved her as a person. Your mom was a true fighter and her beautiful smile will continue to shine down on us all.
