Obituary

It is broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our loved mother, nanny, daughter, sister (in law), aunt, cousin and friend.

Catherine Emma House passed suddenly at home on September 10th, 2021 at the age of 60 years.

Kay was predeceased by her sister’s Julia Stacey- Reid and Bessie Stacey, her mother Alice Stacey, her grandparents Anthony Stacey, Mary Elizabeth Stacey, William Skinner, Julia Skinner, her father-in-law William House, and her mother-in-law Mary House.

Left to mourn is her husband Henry House, her son Henry House Jr. (Bethany), daughter Stacy Stewart (Jody), her grandchildren Alicia, Ryan and Logan, her father John Stacey, and her siblings Albert (Lorena), Stella (Glenn), Tony (Tina), Junior (Lorelei). Also leaving to mourn are her 2 nieces, 9 nephews, 5 great nieces, 7 great nephews, and a large circle of family and friends.

Sometimes they will say a person was of a few words. That cannot be said for our mom. When she loved you, she loved you with all her being. She was there every step of the way, to tell you that you are doing great but she would be the first one to call you out if need be.

Our mom had a listening ear for anyone who needed it and no matter what went on in this world, she had your back. We are confident and so should all her loved ones that she will be watching over all of us each and every day until we meet again.

The family would like to offer their extreme gratitude to Jody (son in law), Corey (friend of family) and to the first responders who in the midst of a hurricane went above and beyond for her and her family.

Patrick, at Carnells funeral home who looked after her when we couldn’t and helped us to bring her home.

A special thank you to Aunt Stella, for being the best little sister to mom and being to mom what mom was to us. When something happens in our lives, i’m sure we will still hear moms voice saying, “call stella”

Thank you to all of our family and friends who came to be with us, brought food, was a shoulder to cry on, shared so many memories with us and helped us celebrate her.

Cremation has taken place as per her wishes. A private celebration of Catherine’s Life and a blessing of her ashes will take place at a later date.
