To the Baker Family,

I just learned of Chris’ passing now after almost 2 years. It is funny when you get to know someone through work and then work changes, you lose contact… but still that person is part of a shared experience – a shared friendship.
I can’t count the many number of times I thought of Chris over the past years of being out of contact, and now knowing he has left us is heartbreaking.
Chis was a wonderful coworker and friend, and infectious smile and laugh.
My memories of the stories of when he first moved to the house in Cowan Heights, as I recall, of tearing out walls and changing around rooms as something he did in addition to working in IT daily., just because it had to be done to get the kids the rooms they needed. That memory, as flawed as my recollection may be, has been constant over the years.. that and his humour..

Farewell Chris. Sorry I am late saying goodbye. Rest in Peace.

Craig, Maureen & family, and to all the Baker family,
We are so very sorry to hear of Chris’ sudden passing. May the love and support of family and friends help bring you comfort during this difficult time. Our sincere condolences to you all.

I worked with Chris when he became the IT lead for the EMR team about a decade or so ago. Chats with Chris were always fun and entertaining. He was so proud of his family and talked about May, Adam and Joshua all the time. I was in a rush the last time I saw him. Me trying to race home from Costco to get ready for a trip, him on the way in with (I assume) the lovely “May” we heard so much about. We were both excited to see each other and I remember his smile as we went in our different directions while trying to talk at the same time. Work friends that could catch up later. My sincere condolences to the family he clearly adored.

We are thinking about you all during this difficult and sad time.  Chris was quite the character and will be missed.  Take care.

Love, Rhonda and Aubrey

I worked closely with Chris a few years ago and am heartbroken that he is gone so soon. He was a great storyteller and his love and pride for May, Adam, and Josh were obvious. He loved to tease and we had many long conversations (debates!) about politics and society. He told me that the highest praise one difficult supervisor ever offered was to say “you add value”. I admired his work ethic, commitment to quality, and genuine interest in his colleagues. Chris, my friend, you added a lot of value. My condolences to May and his beloved boys.

Loll, May, Craig, Bob, Lisa and families, we were so saddened to hear of Chris’s passing. A young man taken all too soon. May the many precious memories and the love of family and friends help carry you through this difficult time. Our deepest condolences to the family.
