In loving Memory

Clara Margaret Vallis passed peacefully in her sleep at the age of 80 on Dec 29th, 2025 at the Health Sciences Center in St. John’s, NL. Clara was born to Elizabeth (Butler) and John Jordan on Aug 12th, 1945.

She was pre-deceased by husband Onslow, Sisters – Marina and Mary and Brothers – Edward and Brendan.

Clara is survived by her four children: Bernadine (Leroy Sutton) Dwayne (Charlene), John and Edward (Danielle).  She will be greatly missed by her five grandchildren: Luc, Jeremy, Hannah, Zoe and Trinity.

Known for her kind and warm heart, infectious smile and emphatic personality, Clara was a friend to many people. With a love of music, close friends had the privilege to hear her sing at traditional NL kitchen parties. In her prime, she loved to visit friends and play Bingo.

She was truly a kind soul. May she rest in peace. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Clara will be cremated at Carnell’s Funeral Home in St. John’s NL.

A family celebration of life to be held the Spring of 2026.
