Obituary
Passed away on November 23, 2019 after a brief illness, Clarence John Connolly, just three days shy of his 85th birthday. Predeceased by his wife Ada, on October 31, 2019. Leaving to mourn: his only child and devoted daughter Lorna Hobbs, son-in-law Tony, one sister, Elizabeth Tomlinson, four brothers Gerald (Alice Churchill), Peter (Elizabeth), Eric (Carole Gibbons) and Karl, brother-in-law Walter Tucker (Susanna), nieces and nephews, especially Jennella and Noel Tucker and honourary niece and nephew Kelly (Francis Bartlett) and Chris Squires (Penney Morgan), and finally, his Admirals Coast Retirement Centre family, where he had resided for the past four years. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday, November 25 and Tuesday, November 26 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, November 27 at 11 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Columbarium. Flowers are graciously accepted, or donations may be made in his memory to the SPCA.

Lorna, I am so sorry for the passing of your mom and dad. I was out to Corner Brook when your mom died. I have great memories of working with your mom at The Children’s Rehab. and our bowling at Holiday Lanes. Your mom and dad are together again. R.I.P. Ada and Clarence.
