Winnifred Mae (nee Genge) Clark

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Winnifred, age 83 years, of St. John’s and Glovertown at the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. Leonard A. Miller Centre, St. John’s, in the presence of her loving family.  Predeceased by her husband, Bruce; parents, Alfred and Addy Maud (Parsons) Genge, brother Vernon, sister-in-law Maude Genge, and sister-in-law Joan Clark . She leaves to mourn 8 children: Linda (Jeff) Babstock, Patricia (Wayne) Lucas, Elaine (Randy) Fradsham, Barbara (Dan) Moyst, Gail (Paul) Hatcher, and Trevor (Tish), all in St. John’s; David (Patricia), Moncton, NB; Ron (Mavis), Calgary, AB. Also leaving 18 grandchildren (Jay, Jennifer and Jeremy Babstock; Johnathan and Bradley Clark; Stacey, Kelly and Janet Lucas; Krista and Jody Fradsham; Angela and Sarah Moyst; Megan and Lauren Clark; Katherine and Leah Hatcher; and Emily and Matthew Clark) and 5 great grandchildren (Alyssa Lucas, Isabella Babstock, Bella and Lucy White, and Calvin Greene). She leaves behind two sisters: June (Garth) Brown, Calgary, AB; Marjorie (Elmore) Tulk, Aspen Cove; three brothers: Norman (Joyce) Genge, Glovertown; Melvin (Sharon) Genge, Saskatoon, SK; Roland (Karolyn) Genge, Baddeck, NS. Leaving to mourn also brothers-in-law Fraser, Don (Marjorie), John (Lorraine), Peter (Bonnie), Robin (Sandy), Paul (Patricia), sister-in-law Edith (Charles) Phillips, all in St. John’s; brother-in-law Carter (Betty) in Alberta, sister-in-law Elizabeth (John) Cochrane in Ontario.  Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, Freshwater Road, on Tuesday, March 21, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and at Oram’s Funeral Home, Glovertown, on Wednesday, March 22, from 5-9 pm. Funeral to take place on Thursday, March 23, at 11:00 am, from Faith United Church, Glovertown. Interment to follow in the United Church cemetery.  Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Faith United Church, Glovertown, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
