It is with profound sadness and deep heartache that we, the Adams family, have to announce the passing of our dearest daughter Cpl. Crystal (Sis) Gale Adams at the tender age of 45 years on April 28th, 2025, at the Health Sciences, St. John’s.

Leaving to mourn her loving parents Randy and Bernardine; daughter Lily; brothers Daryle and Dale; and special niece Abigail. As well as her special service dog Jax.

Predeceased by brother Christopher on March 10th, 2025; Nans Florence Adams and Mamie Bishop; “Nannie” Pearl Langmead; Aunt Marg Snook and other relatives dear to her heart.

Crystal started her life after high school after completing Dental Assisting and left for the mainland in 2001 to pursue a course in Dental Hygiene. While waiting to attend school in London, she decided to join the Canadian Forces as a Dental Assistant reaching the rank of corporal. Upon completing her basic training Crystal was posted to Base Borden in Ontario where she remained until “RETIRING”. This is where she met and became friends with many enlisted as well as civilian personnel. After almost 10 years, her friend’s list included every province and every corner of this country.

Unfortunately, an accident tore her world apart and she had to “retire” her position with the Forces, and her civilian life began. She moved to NB and started a new life. This is where her daughter Lily joined her on this life journey. After a couple of years being away from NL, she and Lily moved to St. John’s NL to be closer to family. The multiple surgeries and rehabilitation from the accident kept her from having her daughter full time. Nan pitched in and Lily was well taken care of. Both doing it together to give Lily a good life when Crystals health declined.

Crystal’s love of anything purple showed, once she was a civilian again. First thing she did was color her hair purple. PINEAPPLE CRUSH eventually replaced her decaf tea.

A heartfelt thank you to a special friend, Jason, no words can thank you enough. Also, a special thank you to all medical professionals who helped Crystal over the years.

Our lives have been changed forever… rest easy Sis.

Crystal was my bestie for 26 years. Truly heartbroken over her passing. She was the first friend I made on my first day at the dental clinic at CFB Borden. I worked with her for 7 years but she became family from the moment we met. She was the first person every single birthday at midnight to call me no matter what time zone she was in She dropped everything when I gave birth to my son Noah (her godson) and came out to Victoria to help me take care of him. My husband was deployed when he was 3 days old and I needed help after having a traumatic birth. She was amazing. She came for 3 weeks without hesitation. We used to go camping together all the time and she was my concert partner. She dragged me to go see the same Bon Jovi concert three times lol Our favourite concerts together were Pearl Jam, Christina Aguilara & Daughtry. We got upgraded to almost front row for Pearl Jam & Bon jovi over a technicality both times and it was epic. She always said “I’m loving you” to end our conversations. I will wear purple & listen to Fancy by Reba McIntyre on repeat to honour my beautiful friend ❤️
I’m loving you & missing you already. Rest easy my love

I was lucky enough to call her a friend in High School, her smile could light up a room.

I am saddened to hear of her passing and offer condolences to her family.

Rest in Peace.

Crystal made the world a better place and I’m thankful to have known her. She loved with all her heart and always wanted the best for others. She will be missed but never forgotten…
