Shocked to hear of Bob’s passing. Only learned of it Christmas Eve when dealing with your request for the Memory Tree. (By the way, we applied your donation to making the Bulletin as a memorial to your family and Bob). Take care of yourself, Carolyn.

Condolences to the Bambrick family on the passing of Bob. Enjoyed playing along with Bob in the band for a time back in the late 80s. He was energetic, a good musician and loved to play. Rest in peace Bob.

Carolyn… our hearts are broken at the news of Bob’s passing. He was a fantastic musician and we are so glad to have gotten to know the two of you over the past few years. Bob always made us feel welcome and pushed me to learn more Irish music which he loved to sing and hear. Gary and I will miss his big heart and wonderful talent. We are here for you if there is anything we can do. Bob will be truly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. God Bless – Gary and Nati Parsons

Carolyn,

I always enjoyed the chats and music with Bob and you at mom and dad’s place. He had a true and genuine passion to go with that talent!

NL’s Rock & Roll Pioneers Committee would like to offers its deepest condolences to Bob’s family and friends.
Bob was one of NL’s original rock and roll pioneers as a founding member of the legendary Bel-Aires rock & roll band back in the late 1950’s. Bob and the guys developed their own unique sound that would see a strong following.
In the late 70’s Bob would go on to co-found the B.D.S. Collection, another local rock & roll band with a big fan base.
Bob’s never ending love of music saw him perform with the original Bel-aires at our tribute benefit last January. Bob will be missed and ever remembered by his fellow musicians.
Our deepest condolences

To Carolyn and family. Very sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Played with Bob for many years in the BDS collection. Have some great memoriies. R.I.P old buddy.

We, the employees at Botwood Foodland, are saddened & shocked to learn of the sudden passing of Bob. He shopped here quite often during his visits to Botwood & always had “special requests.” I had a special request for him during one of his visits…..to play & sing on St. Patricks Day. He did an awesome job & our customers loved it. We will miss seeing him & will always remember our special day with him. Condolences to family & friends.

Sorry to learn of the passing of Cyril.

I have not seen him much since his days of work in civil service. He was a true gentleman always.

R.I.P Cyril

To Carolyn and other family members:
You do not know me, but I remember playing and singing with Bob in a little musical band for a year or so in the early 60s. He was a good friend, and taught me some things about playing guitar, much of which I still find useful today. Please accept my deepest sympathy at this sad time.
