Obituary

Passed peacefully at Pleasant View Towers on Thursday, June 21, 2018.

Cyril was the son of the late Cyril Blyde and Gertrude Lake. He was predeceased by his brother Len.

Cyril was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

He leaves with fond and loving memories his children, Trudy, David (Sue), and Len; grandchildren, Doug, Maggie, Shania, Nate, Logan, Hannah, Jayden, and Mackenzie; sisters, Judy and Sharon; brothers, Fred(Ann), Frank(Mary), Johnny(Anne), and Larry(Maureen) and other family and friends.

The family wishes to thank the caring staff at Pleasant View Towers 3 North West for their exceptional care and compassion.

At Cyril’s request cremation has taken place.

Visitation at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, St. John’s on Monday June 25, 2018, 5 – 9 pm. A celebration of life will be Tuesday June 26th, 2018,  6-9 pm at 8 Edmonton Place.

So sorry for your loss. My little dog Chance and I spent a year on the floor with my own dad. After he passed we missed going so much we joined the St. John’s ambulance therapy dog program. I was in on Wed. the day before he passed . I never imagined he was getting his last kiss from Chance.
RIP our dear friend, my heart goes out to you all.
